Quiriguá , Maya Civilization

Quiriguá is an ancient Maya archaeological site in the department of Izabal in south-eastern Guatemala.
here is evidence that Quiriguá was occupied as early as the Late Preclassic (400 BC – AD 200). Although no structures have been securely dated to this period, a number of Late Preclassic artifacts have been recovered, including 63 figurines and a chert blade.
